High School Senior Models Wanted

Dear Class of 2008 senior and parent,
I Have A Problem- Can You Help Me Solve It?
In the past, we have always used sample photographs from the previous years’ students to showcase our unique styles of senior photography. But this year, since our stuff is so new and innovative, I made up my mind that I wanted to use students from the actual graduating class to model our photography for the class of 2009. Using real 2008 class members in my photographic samples allows far more recognition and instant credibility with the rest of the class. My objective is to find a few outstanding individuals from each area high school to help introduce Studio Lyons to the new graduates.
What We’ll Be Doing… And Why.
I’m hoping to spark the interest of a few outstanding individuals from your graduating class. These students will be photographed at our studio (located in my spacious home studio in Tega Cay, SC) during spring break. The resulting portraits will be used in our color brochures and on our website to introduce our services to your senior class - we’re just waiting for your pictures to be included.
Why Are We Doing This?
I have found that if I can show beautiful samples of our senior portraits using recognizable faces then others from your class may be more apt to use our services as well. Sounds logical right? That’s what we thought. So for your help and letting us use your face I’m going to give you some free stuff.

Who We’re Looking For:
Responsible, Outgoing and FUN individuals. Male & Female. We need about a half-dozen class of 2008 seniors from each area high school. And this is probably the biggest catch of all - you absolutely must be in the graduating class of 2008 - no exceptions to this point!
We really want those of you that participate in school activities such as drama, band, cheerleading, sports, clubs, and student government - as these students have proven to us in the past to be the MOST OUTGOING (outgoing is truly what we want!), and therefore make better senior models. But, even if you’re not particularly involved in these activities there is no reason why you couldn’t do this. So why not give it a try? It will be lots of fun and you might just get some incredible photographs out of the deal as well!
What Will My Session Be Like?
Well, the first thing you’ll notice is how different the studio feels. At Studio Lyons, it’s not stuffy or uptight - it’s like home! We have a very relaxed atmosphere here! Our staff will introduce themselves, show you to the dressing room, and assist you with whatever service is necessary to help you get ready for your session. We’ll discuss in detail all of the different styles and poses that we’ll do together. Just prior to beginning your session we’ll visit with you to discuss your outfits and ideas and help coordinate your clothing to our backgrounds and sets. We won’t even start the session until we both know exactly what we’ll be doing.
Once we’re in the camera room any nervousness will fade away when you see just how laid-back it is here. Bring your own tapes, cds, IPod - the studio is equipped with a stereo system. You are also welcome to bring a friend, parent or sibling with you for moral support and to help you feel even more comfortable.
The Session Flies By
Wait until you see - even though we never rush through a session, how it seems to go by so quickly. My really bad sense of humor and ability to relate make it hardly seem like your being photographed at all! You’ll never have a fake smile. No awkward poses. You’ll have a blast! Read what some of last years’ students had to say about us on the enclosed sheet and then see some of their photos on the color card or in our website gallery!
Sadly, Not Everyone Will Qualify
I’m sending this same letter out to 1,443 area class of 2008 members. With all of these letters going out, I’m bound to get at least 160 students (last year I had 116 applicants) and honestly, I’m only looking to photograph about 40 students that are applying for this opportunity to get a totally free, fun photo session at the areas leader in senior photography - Studio Lyons.
Here’s What To Do Right Now-
If you or your friends are truly interested in representing your class in my upcoming color brochures (and on this website), please take a few moments to fill out the online form by Friday, March 21st. I must receive your form in my office by that day. Please answer the questions thoroughly. The more info you can give us the better your chances are for being selected. The ones with the best answers will be the first considered! If you need more space for answering your questions, forget the online form, and just send me an email at StudioL@fmtc.net!
It is my sincere desire that you’ll consider this offer. I know that you’ll have a great time, get some incredible photographs, AND you’ll be the envy of all your friends when they see your photos in our beautiful website. Check out last years seniors on the enclosed color sample or in the gallery on the website. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to answer all the questions and mail in the post card or submit the online form to me ASAP.
REMEMBER: In order to be considered for the free model session - your online form or email must be in our hands by Friday, March 21st. And, you must be available to be photographed before the beginning of the school year.
